Our Process

Our main objective is for the whole manufacturing process of our garments to be done in a conscious and respectful way, both towards the environment and towards the people involved in each stage of this process. We research the provenance and method of manufacture of the fabrics and materials we use, and we partner with people who share our ethical values. The artisans and manufacturers we work with are a very important part of our brand, and we value the relationships we build with them.

Limo Atelier

We seek to reduce waste and find the best practices that help make a positive ecological impact, and thus drive change in the fashion industry for the better. By designing garments that are timeless and made to last, we hope that our pieces can be worn and looked after for years to come. The best thing we can do for the planet is to buy less and use what we have for longer.

Our philosophy is quality over quantity, releasing only two clothing collections a year, which gives us and our production partners the time to carefully design and meticulously craft each garment.

The materials we use:

Linen

Linen is the main fabric used in our garments, considered the oldest fabric in the world, it is naturally antibacterial and extremely durable. It is machine washable, dries quickly and strengthens with wear. The production process requires much less water than cotton, and almost the entire flax plant can be used, which means there is very little plant waste.

Our linen comes from Lithuania and is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.

Buttons

We use natural mother-of-pearl buttons

Wool

Our wool garments are produced in Spain from alpaca and fine merino wool.
